Civil and contracting businesses don’t need fancy, over-designed websites. You need something that shows your capability, proves your track record/goals, and makes it dead simple for clients and leads to get in touch. That’s where SK Digital fits in. We’ve built more than 110 websites for NZ service businesses - and a big part of that work has been in civil, drainage, demolition and infrastructure.
We don’t oversell it. The sites we deliver are practical, credible and built to get leads.
Websites for Civil Drainage Companies
(Auckland)
Abbotts Drainage is a great example. They’re Auckland-based and operate 24/7, with a 4-hour response time promise. Their services range from drain unblocking through to CCTV inspections, relining, hydrovac, and larger civil works. They’ve handled projects for schools, Fonterra, NZ Sugar, and plenty more.
What we did at SK Digital: rebuilt their website to reflect that they weren’t just an emergency callout company anymore. They’d grown into serious civil capability, and the site needed to show that. We now manage the site long-term, run their Google Ads, and add new landing pages and content to make sure they capture both emergency and commercial work.
What matters for drainage and civil websites
Professional photography (really important!)
Clear split between urgent/emergency jobs and bigger planned works
Evidence blocks showing projects, fleet, and safety compliance
Fast quote and call options right on the page
Project stories that prove delivery, not just words
Testimonials from happy clients (build credibility)
Google Ads for transparent lead generation
Websites for Demolition & Asbestos Removal
(Central North Island)
Demoworx is a demolition and asbestos removal company that’s growing across New Zealand. Their sister company, Resource Co, handles the recovery side - recycling waste and selling aggregates. For councils and developers it’s the complete package: they can demolish, remove, recycle, and close the loop.
What we did: SK Digital built and manages both websites. We also updated branding, ran ad campaigns, and keep landing pages fresh so they can pull in work consistently. Both businesses have a strong focus on transparency and sustainability - so their sites had to look sharp, run smooth, and make their message obvious.
Websites for Resource Recovery & Recycling
(Central North Island)
Resource Co is based in Cambridge and runs a recycling hub designed for contractors. They’ve set it up with ANPR cameras so trucks can drive through, dump, and get back on site quickly. They take construction waste, hardfill, cleanfill, green waste, and also supply recycled aggregate and topsoil. They’re planning more yards across the North Island too.
What matters on recycling/resource sites
Make the process clear - what can and can’t be dropped off
Show pricing or at least explain the logic simply
Location, hours and yard instructions up front
Call out sustainability proof and volume handled
Websites for Civil Contractors
(Central North Island)
Camex Civil is one of the bigger names in the Central North Island. They handle 3-Waters projects, transport, subdivisions and private siteworks. Their head office is in Cambridge but their work covers a wide area.
What we did: we rebuilt their website with the team at Dimple Digital. The old site didn’t reflect the scale or professionalism they’d built up. The new site is credibility-first, showing off projects, integrating other arms of the group (Simple Traffic, PNP Surfacing, Boss Hire), and giving tender managers the information they need without digging.
What works well for large civil sites
Clear focus and language used
Service pillars with project proof
A clear health & safety / certification hub
Project library with filters by type or region
Tender-ready contact points
Testimonials and case studies
Continual website updates and development to show progress
Websites for Concrete Pumping & Shotcrete
(Waikato, Taupō, Rotorua)
Empire Concrete Pumping runs a fleet of 4 specialist pumps and has more than 10 years in the game. They service Waikato, Taupō and Rotorua with both shotcrete and pumping. Their work includes ag jobs, residential builds, and commercial contracts.
Our approach for specialist contractors:
Show the credibility clearly
Show coverage areas clearly
Make booking obvious with phone buttons and quote forms
Highlight fleet and operator capability
Add testimonials and safety credentials to build trust
Google Ads for transparent lead generation
Why civil and contracting teams choose SK Digital
Our sites are built around evidence - projects, compliance, capability front and centre
We build for how civil work is actually won - clear scopes, quick contact, tender trust
Sites are owner-friendly - your team can update them without tech stress
Post-launch we keep improving - small regular gains add up
We’re not a huge agency. We’re a local team with a high-performance mindset (and yes, that comes from years rowing in a gold-medal Olympic crew). The same principles that win races - consistency, honesty, incremental improvement - are the ones we bring into our work for civil businesses.

FAQs about Civil Contracting Websites
What should a civil contracting website include?
At a minimum - clear services, proof of past jobs, H&S creds, and quick contact options. Photos of gear and crews help heaps too.
How can a civil contractor prove credibility online?
Show your certifications (SiteWise, ISO etc), add projects with photos, and include testimonials. It’s better to show than tell.
Do I really need case studies?
Yep, they make a difference. Councils and PMs want to see proof. Even a few strong case studies will back you up in tenders. And we can write them for you with a little info/context!
Why SK Digital?
Because we’ve already done it for Abbotts Drainage, Demoworx, Resource Co, Camex Civil, Empire Concrete Pumping and more. We know the sector and design sites that help win work.
