Moving Company With a Difference
Sometimes in business, you meet someone whose story just hits different. James, owner of Lettuce Know, is exactly that bloke. Lettuce Know isn't just another moving company - it's a damn good, down-to-earth, friendly neighbourhood mover serving Whakatane, Tauranga, Rotorua, and Taupo.
Tidy Franchise Model
James runs a tidy franchise model, and he came knocking because his existing website was doing him dirty - generic, outdated, and nowhere near reflecting the momentum he was building. But holy sh#t, what immediately stood out was their unreal branding.
Unique, hand-drawn illustrations that made the competition look about as exciting as soggy cardboard. This brand had personality, humour, and heart. We were stoked.
Getting Sh#t Done, Despite the Cards Dealt
But the real kicker wasn't even the epic branding. It was James himself.
Check out Lettuce Know's About page and you'll see what resilience actually looks like. James didn't just survive a serious health challenge - the man got after it! Adapted, overcame, and built something seriously impressive. People like James are the reason we do what we do. Total respect.
"Every challenge is an opportunity in disguise. My commitment to quality, community and providing for my family and team is woven into every move we make." – James Wilkinson
Getting the Website Right
Our first job was straightforward—build a website worthy of this cracking brand. James knew exactly what he wanted, and we got stuck right in, working those standout illustrations front and centre, crafting a site that was approachable, easy-to-use, and screamed Lettuce Know's brand at every click.
Mission bloody accomplished! Check Out the Site
The Google Ads STRUGGLES
Initially, James passed on our Google Ads offer. Fair enough - he had other arrangements. But fast-forward six or so months, and James comes back with a SOS. Turns out James had been stitched up early on by an overseas agency (the sort of operators that give digital marketing a bad rap).
Picture this: You're launching a business, things are manic, someone promises the world via email, cold calls the sh#t out of you, and locks you into a year-long EXPENSIVE contract you can't get out of.
James tried, but his attempts to rescue the Google Ads account failed. Honestly, starting fresh was probably a blessing - clean slate, no baggage, full transparency.
Rapid Fire Launch
We sensed the urgency, so we moved quickly. The play was simple and strategic:
Built out three tailored landing pages on James’ site, laser-focused on Whakatane, Tauranga/Rotorua, and Taupo.
Paired these with hyper-local Google Ads campaigns. Clean, direct, zero confusion.
Allocated budgets smartly based on regional populations and expected demand.
Within a couple of days - no exaggeration - we'd gone from green light to full launch. It felt good. But not half as good as this message James sent us:
This is Music to Our Ears!
What's Next?
Lettuce Know is in great shape now. But we're just getting started - steady improvements, smart tweaks, and staying true to the epic brand they've built.
Working with great people like James and Catherine, who pour themselves into their business and their community, is exactly why we do this.
Here's to making Lettuce Know absolutely crush it. Super pumped.
